With a Little Help From Our Friends

Since their formation in June 1964 the Friends of Lambeth Palace Library have been generous in their support of the Library. They have helped to acquire a wealth of research material for the collections, including medieval manuscripts, early printed books, drawings and prints, as well as documents relating to some of the most momentous events of British history such as the execution of Mary Queen of Scots and the dissolution of the monasteries.

Although this timeline highlights just a small selection of the riches that the Friends have enabled the Library to acquire, it gives an insight into the quality of these aquisitions. Please check back regularly as we intend to add to this timeline over the coming months.
